Welcome to Stowe Theatre Guild

Stowe Theatre Guild is a non-profit, volunteer-run community theatre organization--and a vibrant part of the town of Stowe and many surrounding communities in Central Vermont.

Stowe Theatre Guild strives to produce the highest quality theatre in central Vermont. Performing in the historic Town Hall Theatre in the heart of Stowe, Vermont, we produce four shows — both musicals and straight plays — per season (June-October).

We welcome all to propose a show, audition, volunteer, or just take in a fabulous performance!

2024 Pride Party

Love is a dance floor, and Stowe is ready to show you its moves! Stowe Theatre Guild and Alfie's Wild Ride are teaming up to co-host Stowe’s FIRST-EVER Pride Month dance party! Single, coupled, young, old (age is just a number, honey!), straight, gay, or LGBTQIA+...EVERYONE's invited to this no-labels-required celebration of love and community. Get decked out in your brightest threads, light up the night with our free glow necklaces, sip yummy signature cocktails, and dance the night away as River Road spins hit after hit. Follow the call of the disco ball to Alfie's Wild Ride (942 Mountain Road in Stowe), on Saturday, June 29th, from 8-11 pm, $5 cash at the door!

March 2024 Special Events

Because voting and eating go together like a Broadway show and dinner at Sardi's, STG is excited to announce its spring fundraiser, "A Taste of Stowe," at this year's Town Meeting. This epicurean feast features luncheon delicacies from Stowe's yummiest sandwich shops. All proceeds go to meeting production costs associated with top-quality community theater.

American Stage Classic Our Town

As part of its 2022 season, Stowe Theatre Guild will be staging Thornton Wilder's classic play Our Town in July.
