HEDY! The Life and Inventions of Hedy Lamarr
Stowe Theatre Guild is proud to present the award-winning, internationally-acclaimed show, HEDY! The Life & Inventions of Hedy Lamarr, written and performed by Fulbright Specialist Heather Massie and with the generous sponsorship of John Weltman, Cliff Atkins, andStowe Historical Society.
The show features the unexpected scientific genius of Hollywood screen star and inventor Hedy Lamarr. Known as "the most beautiful woman in the world," Lamarr also invented technology for torpedoes during WWII that is now used in cell phones, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. The show's mission is to inspire audiences to find ways to make the world a better place, to encourage young women in science and technology, and to establish Hedy Lamarr as a role model for intelligence, ingenuity, and invention.
Stowe Theatre Guild respectfully requires all patrons, volunteers, cast, and crew to be fully vaccinated unless under the age of 12 or medically ineligible (as determined by a physician).
All persons attending or participating in Stowe Theatre Guild productions for the time being will be asked for proof of vaccination and required to be masked at all times when inside the Stowe Town Hall.
Cast members are permitted to remove their masks only when onstage for a performance.
