In the process they find renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the ability to have fun.

There is great heart to The Full Monty, and the ultimate themes expressed in the show, about taking charge of one's life and following one's dreams are great lessons for all of us. In addition, this musical ends up affirming such values as devotion to family, commitment to friends and, in all things, providing unconditional love and support.
[richtext] => 1 [template] => 25 [menuindex] => 47 [searchable] => 1 [cacheable] => 1 [createdby] => 1 [createdon] => 1558360110 [editedby] => 3 [editedon] => 1559845294 [deleted] => 0 [deletedon] => 0 [deletedby] => 0 [publishedon] => 1245851220 [publishedby] => 1 [menutitle] => [donthit] => 0 [privateweb] => 0 [privatemgr] => 0 [content_dispo] => 0 [hidemenu] => 0 [class_key] => modDocument [context_key] => web [content_type] => 1 [uri] => 2009/the-full-monty [uri_override] => 1 [hide_children_in_tree] => 0 [show_in_tree] => 0 [properties] => [idx] => 1 [link] => ) Array ( [return] => chunks [id] => 123 [type] => document [contentType] => text/html [pagetitle] => The Great American Trailer Park Musical [longtitle] => The Great American Trailer Park Musical [description] => [alias] => the-great-american-trailer-park-musical [alias_visible] => 1 [link_attributes] => [published] => 1 [pub_date] => 0 [unpub_date] => 0 [parent] => 10 [isfolder] => 0 [introtext] => [content] =>
There’s a new tenant at Armadillo Acres—and she’s wreaking havoc all over Florida’s most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper, comes between the agoraphobic Jeannie and Norbert, her tollbooth collector husband—storms begin to brew. Narrated by a colorful trailer park Greek chorus, mature audiences will leave the theater laughing in search of Doritos and Cheez Whiz.

Jeannie Garstecki has lived in a trailer at Armadillo Acres for 20 years with her husband and high-school sweetheart, Norbert. She was 17 when she married, 18 when her son was born and 23 when he got kidnapped. That, coupled with a really bad perm, has turned her into an agoraphobic. She hasn’t left her trailer in all these years, and the man she loves is drifting further away. She is determined to get him back— that is if she could manage to get out of the trailer to do it…
[richtext] => 1 [template] => 25 [menuindex] => 48 [searchable] => 1 [cacheable] => 1 [createdby] => 1 [createdon] => 1558360299 [editedby] => 3 [editedon] => 1559843915 [deleted] => 0 [deletedon] => 0 [deletedby] => 0 [publishedon] => 1248356880 [publishedby] => 1 [menutitle] => [donthit] => 0 [privateweb] => 0 [privatemgr] => 0 [content_dispo] => 0 [hidemenu] => 0 [class_key] => modDocument [context_key] => web [content_type] => 1 [uri] => 2009/the-great-american-trailer-park-musical [uri_override] => 1 [hide_children_in_tree] => 0 [show_in_tree] => 0 [properties] => [idx] => 2 [link] => ) Array ( [return] => chunks [id] => 124 [type] => document [contentType] => text/html [pagetitle] => Footloose [longtitle] => Footloose [description] => [alias] => footloose [alias_visible] => 1 [link_attributes] => [published] => 1 [pub_date] => 0 [unpub_date] => 0 [parent] => 10 [isfolder] => 0 [introtext] => [content] =>
If you have seen the movie Footloose, you were struck by the award-winning soundtrack that played in the background of this '80s film. Even if you haven't seen the movie, you're probably familiar with many of the songs, including "Let's Hear It For The Boy," "Almost Paradise," "Holding Out For A Hero," "The Girl Gets Around" and "Footloose."

The musical version was created after the movie. It brilliantly incorporates all the wonderful pop/rock songs listed above into the script, so they are sung by the characters as part of the story. Another half-dozen or so songs were composed to fill out the score of this show.

The story embraces a pivotal period in a small town racked by recent tragedy ... a pivotal decision to be made by a loving but heavy-handed father and minister ... a pivotal law to be reconsidered by town fathers who wish they knew the right thing to do ... and an extraordinarily frustrating experience for a likable teen who can no longer have the life he liked, and who can't like the life he now has.
[richtext] => 1 [template] => 25 [menuindex] => 49 [searchable] => 1 [cacheable] => 1 [createdby] => 1 [createdon] => 1558360892 [editedby] => 3 [editedon] => 1559844692 [deleted] => 0 [deletedon] => 0 [deletedby] => 0 [publishedon] => 1250690040 [publishedby] => 1 [menutitle] => [donthit] => 0 [privateweb] => 0 [privatemgr] => 0 [content_dispo] => 0 [hidemenu] => 0 [class_key] => mgResource [context_key] => web [content_type] => 1 [uri] => 2009/footloose [uri_override] => 1 [hide_children_in_tree] => 0 [show_in_tree] => 0 [properties] => Array ( [moregallery] => Array ( [source] => inherit [relative_url] => inherit [content_position] => inherit [crops] => inherit [custom_fields] => inherit ) ) [idx] => 3 [link] => ) Array ( [return] => chunks [id] => 125 [type] => document [contentType] => text/html [pagetitle] => The Graduate [longtitle] => The Graduate [description] => [alias] => the-graduate [alias_visible] => 1 [link_attributes] => [published] => 1 [pub_date] => 0 [unpub_date] => 0 [parent] => 10 [isfolder] => 0 [introtext] => [content] =>
Benjamin Braddock is a recent college graduate trying to find something to care about in his life when he begins to have an affair with Mrs. Robinson, the seductive wife of his father’s best friend. The new twist pits Benjamin against Mrs. Robinson, who still stop at nothing from preventing him from ending up with Elaine. They attempt to communicate with Farmer Brown, but he can't understand cow's moos, the cackle of chickens or the quack of the duck. They discover a typewriter among the barn's junk, and, after consulting George Orwell's "Animal Farm" proceed to fight for what they see is right.
[richtext] => 1 [template] => 25 [menuindex] => 51 [searchable] => 1 [cacheable] => 1 [createdby] => 1 [createdon] => 1558361959 [editedby] => 3 [editedon] => 1559416180 [deleted] => 0 [deletedon] => 0 [deletedby] => 0 [publishedon] => 1256911680 [publishedby] => 1 [menutitle] => [donthit] => 0 [privateweb] => 0 [privatemgr] => 0 [content_dispo] => 0 [hidemenu] => 0 [class_key] => modDocument [context_key] => web [content_type] => 1 [uri] => 2009/click-clack-moo-cows-that-type [uri_override] => 1 [hide_children_in_tree] => 0 [show_in_tree] => 0 [properties] => [idx] => 5 [link] => )
